After years of speculation, leaks, rumours and endless countdowns, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed when players will be able to pre-order Grand Theft Auto VI.
The developer announced that GTA 6 pre-orders will officially go live on 25 June, marking another major milestone ahead of what is expected to be the biggest video game launch in history.
The confirmation comes just months before the game’s scheduled release date of 19 November 2026, ending months of uncertainty surrounding when fans would finally be able to lock in their copy.
Rockstar also unveiled the game’s official cover art as part of the announcement, giving fans another glimpse at the highly anticipated title that has dominated gaming conversations for years.
Players will be able to pre-order GTA 6 through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and selected retailers. However, Rockstar has not yet revealed pricing details, special editions or any pre-order bonuses that may be available.
The announcement effectively puts to bed months of speculation regarding the pre-order window. Numerous reports and rumours had suggested reservations could open much earlier in the year, but Rockstar remained silent until now.
GTA 6 is currently set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026, with no PC release confirmed for launch day.
Industry analysts expect the game to break sales records almost immediately. The Grand Theft Auto franchise remains one of the most successful entertainment properties ever created, with GTA V selling more than 200 million copies worldwide since its release in 2013.
With pre-orders now finally confirmed, Rockstar’s marketing campaign is expected to ramp up significantly over the coming months as the countdown to November begins in earnest.
For millions of fans who have spent years waiting for the next chapter in the Grand Theft Auto series, 25 June can’t come soon enough.
