Goodison Park will host the first round clash between Preston North End and Huddersfield Town.
Preston applied to the EFL for permission to play at an alternative venue due to the installation of the new hybrid pitch at Deepdale.
The pitch will be ready for the Lilywhites first game of the season against recently relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Goodison Park was the home of Everton’s first team for 133 years and is now home to the women’s side.
The first round tie will commence at 3pm on Saturday 8th August.
