Mourinho has identified Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez as his priority target in midfield ahead of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.
Mourinho has claimed Fernandez is the “perfect fit” for the Spanish giants.
The 36 time La Liga winners have been linked to Fernandez for some time now. The midfielder was dropped by former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior for hinting at a desire to join Real Madrid back in April.
Fernandez joined the Blues in January 2023 after an impressive World Cup campaign helping Argentina win the title.
Fernandez became a British-record fee costing Chelsea £106.8m and bringing him to the Bernabeu certainly won’t be cheap.
The midfielder has registered 31 goals and 30 assists since arriving in West London helping them win both the Conference League and the Club World Cup.
