Tears, Tributes & 10 Bells: WWE Bows to Hulk Hogan as Son Nick Breaks Down

The wrestling world stood still Monday night as Nick Hogan joined WWE superstars to honour his late father, the legendary Hulk Hogan, in an emotional 10-bell salute on Raw.

The tribute — WWE’s second since Hulk’s death last Thursday at age 71 — kicked off their flagship show in Detroit and streamed globally on Netflix.

📸 Nick, 35, fought back tears beside wife Tana Lea as familiar faces like CM Punk, Gunther, Iyo Sky, and Dominik Mysterio lined the stage to say goodbye to one of wrestling’s most iconic names.

“We wouldn’t be standing here right now – all of us together – if it wasn’t for him,” said WWE legend and exec Triple H, speaking directly to fans and talent alike.

Also in the house: Hogan’s longtime pal and former on-screen rival Eric Bischoff, who stood visibly shaken during the moment of silence.

💔 “Forever my hero”

Just days earlier, Nick shared a powerful Instagram tribute, calling his dad “the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for.”

“He always has been my best friend… I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain,” he wrote.

The post was a tearjerking montage of vintage photos, including a young Nick in matching red and yellow gear with his dad — peak Hulkamania vibes.

📺 A Legacy Bigger Than Wrestling

Love him or loathe him, Hogan (real name: Terry Bollea) changed the game. From slamming giants at WrestleMania to becoming a pop culture titan, Hulk’s presence launched wrestling into the mainstream in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

  • 6x WWE Champion
  • 8x WrestleMania headliner
  • Reality TV star, actor, and… Trump campaign regular?

Hogan’s career wasn’t without shadows — a leaked sex tape and racist remarks in the 2010s damaged his legacy, though he sought redemption from fans.

Still, to millions, he was larger than life. A superhero with a handlebar moustache. A showman. A father. A fighter.

🔔 Hogan, Forever

With thousands of fans on their feet, the 10-bell salute echoed around the arena, a final bow for the man in the red and yellow.

No matter your opinion, Hulk Hogan left a legacy no one can ignore.
