Luis de la Fuente’s side will face Argentina or England in just their second World Cup final on Sunday evening.
The Spanish took the lead in the 22nd minute from the spot. Lucas Digne mistimed his clearance and clattered Lamine Yamal giving Mikel Oyarzabal an opportunity from 12-yards. The Real Sociedad striker netted his fifth goal of the tournament lashing into Mike Maignan’s right hand side.
Pedro Porro added a second just before the hour mark. Porro played a one-two with Dani Olmo who found the Spurs man superbly. Porro slotted past Maignan to extend Spain’s lead.
The 2010 World Champs will be looking to be reigning European and World champions for the second time.
Didier Deschamps will bow out as France manager without a second World Cup title. Deschamps 14 year reign will end on Saturday in the third vs fourth tie.
