The acclaimed actor, best known for his iconic roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at his Malibu residence and was found unresponsive early on Thursday morning.

Madsen first rose to prominence in 1992’s Reservoir Dogs, playing the chillingly memorable Mr Blonde.
He continued to collaborate with Tarantino on Kill Bill: Volume 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Madsen remained active in both independent film and literature. He had recently appeared in Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was nearing completion of a memoir‑poetry collection titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.
