Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Luis Díaz is heating up, with reports out of Germany suggesting the move is now more a matter of when than if.
According to Sport Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany has already held a video call with Díaz, during which the Colombian winger reportedly gave his approval for the move. Díaz has since informed Liverpool of his desire to leave — a position the club was allegedly aware of for some time.
Now, the only hurdle left is the fee.
Bayern Want Díaz Now, Not Later
Inside the Bayern camp, key figures are said to be fully on board with the transfer. Crucially, Díaz isn’t seen as a long-term project, but rather a player who can immediately elevate the team. His experience, pace, and flair are viewed as vital additions as Bayern look to rebuild after a season that fell short of expectations.
With important backers inside the club, and Kompany himself making a direct pitch, this deal has significant momentum. All that’s left is whether Bayern are willing to meet Liverpool’s valuation, thought to be in the region of €70–80 million.
