Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister ahead of the summer transfer window, with fresh claims suggesting the Argentine could be a long-term target for the Spanish giants.
According to reports circulating around European football, Madrid are planning to strengthen their midfield in 2026 and have been assessing several elite options. Mac Allister has emerged as one of the names under consideration thanks to his technical ability, tactical intelligence and winning pedigree.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Brighton in 2023 for a fee worth around £55 million, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the Reds’ midfield rebuild. Since arriving at Anfield, he has been praised for his composure on the ball and his ability to control games from deep positions.

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness caused controversy by suggesting Liverpool have effectively become a talent source for Real Madrid.
He pointed to the growing links between the clubs and suggested Mac Allister could follow a similar path to other players who have attracted interest from the Spanish side.
Wyness said the Argentina international might be more likely to join Madrid than teammate Dominik Szoboszlai if Los Blancos decide to move for a Liverpool midfielder.
