Major shake-up at Sky Sports News as seven well-known names – including Melissa Reddy – are heading for the exit.
⚡ Rob Wotton kicked things off, signing off after 27 years live on The Football Show. Sue Smith and Stephen Warnock led the farewell vibes.
But Wotton’s not alone…
According to The Sun, Teddy Draper, Jasper Taylor, Jeremy Langdon, Fadumo Olow, Melissa Reddy, and producer Nick Lustig are also leaving after a round of internal redundancies.
🗣️ Wotton joked on his exit:
“I came here in my 20s for a couple of weeks. And look, they haven’t been able to get rid of me.”
The moves follow a consultation period as part of Sky’s wider cost-cutting and reshuffle plans.
👋 Melissa Reddy, one of Sky’s go-to senior football reporters, joined in 2022 and often fronted major Man United and Liverpool stories.
🎙️ Draper (18 years), Taylor (11), and Langdon (20+) also mark the end of long Sky careers.
🧢 Sky Sports News Director Mark Alford said:
“We’d like to thank each of our colleagues for their huge contribution… We wish them all the best.”
