Arne Slot is expected to make a big splash in the summer transfer window as he looks to shape Liverpool in his image.
According to former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys, the Reds are certain to land two major signings this summer — moves that could take the team to the next level under their new manager.
With Liverpool just three points away from clinching the 2024/25 Premier League title, attention is already turning to what lies ahead. Slot has promised a busy transfer window, and it seems the club are ready to deliver.
Speaking in his latest blog, Keys revealed his belief that two standout names are guaranteed to join Liverpool: Alexander Isak and Milos Kerkez.
“Re-signing Van Dijk and Salah is NOT like signing two new players. It’s the right move, but if Liverpool want to be truly competitive, they need real additions. Two certs are Isak and Kerkez — but even that won’t be enough,” Keys wrote.
Isak, who has scored 21 goals in 30 Premier League appearances for Newcastle United this season, is attracting interest from several elite clubs. The Swedish striker has emerged as one of Europe’s top attacking talents, and Newcastle are expected to demand around £120 million for his signature.
Meanwhile, Kerkez has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Bournemouth, catching the eye with his pace, energy, and composure at left-back. At just 20 years old, he’s seen as a long-term successor to Andrew Robertson, who has shown signs of decline in recent months. The Hungarian is valued at around £40 million.
With Liverpool looking to revamp key areas — particularly up front and at left-back — the arrival of Isak and Kerkez would signal serious intent from Slot as he begins his Anfield reign.
If the £160m double swoop materialises, it could mark the beginning of a bold new era for Liverpool.
