Jake Paul faces Anthony Joshua on Friday, December 19, live on Netflix from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, in a heavyweight boxing clash titled Judgment Day.
The bout is scheduled for eight rounds and represents the biggest test of Jake Paul’s professional boxing career to date, as he steps in with a former two-time unified heavyweight world champion.
Paul vs Joshua main event
Paul enters the contest with a professional record of 12-1 (7 KOs). The 28-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer has won six straight bouts since suffering his only defeat — a split decision loss to Tommy Fury — nearly three years ago.
Anthony Joshua, 36, brings a record of 28-4 (25 KOs) and returns to the ring following a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September. The British star is aiming to halt Paul’s momentum and reassert himself at the top level of heavyweight boxing.
Both fighters exchanged heated words during fight week, with Paul stating he intends to “shut everyone up,” while Joshua promised to “end the experiment.”
Co-main event and undercard
The co-feature sees Alycia Baumgardner (16-1, 7 KOs) defend her unified IBF, WBA and WBO super featherweight titles against Canada’s Leila Beaudoin (13-1, 2 KOs), who is challenging for world honours for the first time.
Former UFC champions Anderson Silva (3-2, 2 KOs) and Tyron Woodley (0-2) meet once again in a cruiserweight boxing bout, adding further intrigue to the undercard.
Also featured is U.S. Olympian Jahmal Harvey (1-0, 1 KO), who takes on undefeated Colombian prospect Kevin Cervantes (5-0, 5 KOs) at super featherweight.
